Health And Safety (Basic Level)

There's so much focus on health and safety nowadays that it's a relief to find a short (6 hours) course that will give you all the knowledge and skills you'll need.

The objective of the course is to teach students health and safety essentials such as fire safety, manual handling, workstation safety and basic first aid.

The main topics covered are:

• Health and Safety Essentials - an introduction to basic health and safety concepts, be aware of hazards to improve safety
• Workstation Safety Plus - Learn how to work safely at your computer
• Fire Safety Plus - Learn the basics of fire safety, fire prevention and what to do in an emergency
• Manual Handling Plus - Learn correct handling techniques at work
• First Aid - Learn the basics of first aid in this interactive module. This has been developed in conjunction with St John Ambulance.

How The Course Works.

You can start this course at any time and while it takes the average student approximately 6 hours to complete it, you don't have to finish in one go.

You're welcome to visit us as often as you like for up to 6 months, so you can learn at your own pace.

The lectures are pre-recorded and you work through a quality workbook to develop the practical knowledge and skills you'll need fro a basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
